Biography:

"Ever since I can remember I have been massaging family members and friends and had an interest in alternative therapies. In the last ten years, alternative therapies helped me overcome a condition at a point where traditional medical options had been exhausted. I suffered for many years from a chronic illness that, while not life-threatening, was very debilitating. I found myself avoiding social situations and living in constant pain. After surgery and steroid treatments, which served to temporarily suppress the symptoms, I used an approach combining nutrition, kinesiology and cranial osteopathy to regain a greater sense of wellbeing.

The therapies that I now practice, I found very beneficial to getting better again. One of the main reasons that I believe many complementary therapies are so effective is that they treat the person as a whole, taking an integrated view of the multiple factors affecting a person’s wellbeing. Every treatment is as unique as the person being treated, and I am inspired by the body’s ability to persevere in the face of pain, trauma and distress. I have great respect for the body’s natural healing ability and my approach is to tap into that innate health and encourage my patients to take charge of their healing. Studying osteopathy has deepened my understanding of the connectedness of the physical to whole experience of the person and has given me more tools to help patients address blockages to a positive sense of wellbeing."
